John Alden Williams, William R. Kenan Professor of Humanities and Professor of Religion, Emeritus, died peacefully on November 30, 2022 in Baltimore, Maryland. 

John E. Donaldson, J.D. '63 and Ball Professor of Law, Emeritus, passed away Sept. 20, 2022. For 35 years he taught tax law, trusts and estates at William & Mary Law School, retiring in 2001.

Elaine M. Themo, Emeritus Professor of Sociology, died July 19, 2022.

Morton Eckhause, 87, of Williamsburg, died peacefully at his home on May 25, 2022. He joined the physics faculty at William & Mary in 1964 and retired in 2004.
