Tech entrepreneur Annie Brown ’10 will deliver the next Class of 1975 Speaker Series lecture, “From Liberal Arts to AI: An Unexpected Entrepreneurial Journey,” on Nov. 12 at William & Mary.

The event takes place in the ISC4 auditorium. Light refreshments will be served starting at 5 p.m., with Brown’s lecture beginning at 5:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
Brown is the founder and CEO of Reliabl, a responsible technology initiative developing inclusive AI and data tools designed to improve online experiences for marginalized communities.
Rather than taking a conventional path into technology, Brown built her career by leveraging the critical thinking, communication and problem-solving skills she developed as a W&M student majoring in gender studies and history. As part of her lecture, she will discuss how a liberal arts and sciences education prepared her for entrepreneurship, navigating emerging tech sectors and applying interdisciplinary thinking to today’s rapidly evolving workforce.
The Class of 1975 Speaker Series brings distinguished leaders, innovators and entrepreneurs to William & Mary to engage students, faculty and the community in conversations about the ideas shaping our future. The series was established through the generosity of the Class of 1975 as part of its 50th Reunion class gift to support lectures, seminars and discussions at the School of Computing, Data Sciences & Physics.
