The William & Mary Board of Visitors will meet in Williamsburg April 19-21, 2023. The purpose of the meetings is to conduct regular business of the Board.
Committee meetings will begin at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, in 2018B of Alan B. Miller Hall located at 101 Ukrop Way and should conclude by 5 p.m. Consistent with the notice provided March 22, 2023 (https://news.wm.edu/announcements/wm-to-host-april-19-public-hearing-on-tuition/), the public hearing required by Va. Code §23.1-307.D will be held in Brinkley Commons of Miller Hall from 5 until 6 p.m. At 6:45 p.m., the Board will attend a dinner with the Rector at a private residence located at 160 Exmoor Court.
On Thursday, April 20, committee meetings will resume at 8:00 a.m. in Brinkley Commons of Miller Hall. At 12:15 p.m., the Board will have lunch and take a tour of Swem Library, located at 400 Landrum Dr. At approximately 2 p.m., committee meetings will resume in Miller Hall and are are scheduled to conclude at 4:30 p.m. The Board will then travel to the Alumni House, located at 500 Richmond Rd, to attend the Endowed Professorship Program and Reception.
On Friday April 21, committee meetings will resume in Miller Hall at 9 a.m., followed by a meeting of the full Board at 10:15 a.m., which is scheduled to conclude at 11:30 a.m. The Friday morning meeting of the full Board occurs in the Board’s usual meeting location and will be live streamed on the Board of Visitors webpage at www.wm.edu/bovmeeting.
All times are approximate, and the Board reserves the right to adjust its schedule as necessary. The meetings are open to the public, but with the exception of the public hearing on Wednesday evening, there will be no opportunity for public comment.
