The following message was sent to the William & Mary campus community from Public Safety on Jan. 21, 2026 – Ed
Dear William & Mary community:
The National Weather Service is forecasting a winter storm for Williamsburg and the broader Virginia region this weekend, including snow, frigid temperatures, and an increasing risk of icing. Public Safety is actively monitoring the system, and Facilities Management is preparing the campus.
When the university’s operational status is impacted by weather, related announcements to the campus community are communicated using WM_Info notifications via Rave Mobility Safety.
Next Update
We will send an update by Friday afternoon regarding the campus schedule for the weekend. Should any changes be required for university operations next week, a message will be sent out no later than Sunday evening.
