Dominion Energy has completed emergency repairs following last night’s outage.
However, due to ongoing repair work, the Sadler Center will remain closed through the end of the week.

10:46 a.m., July 21, 2026
Dominion Energy continues to make repairs and will briefly interrupt power to the Outer Loop at 11 a.m. (will not impact ISC or Swem). The outage is expected to last no longer than 15 minutes. Please avoid using elevators around that time to prevent becoming stuck during the power interruption.
Sadler Center remains closed for the day.

Sadler Center Closed Due to Ongoing Power Outage – July 21, 2026

Last evening, an issue caused a campuswide power outage. Dominion Energy is still working to restore normal campus operations. Repairs are ongoing and may cause additional temporary outages.
The Sadler Center remains without power and will be closed today, Tuesday, July 21. Employees who work there should check with their supervisor for information about alternate work arrangements.
This is an evolving situation, and we appreciate your patience as crews work to restore normal campus operations.
